I wanted to share a ghost story with you that I experienced when I was younger. I was about 10 years old when it happened. It was nighttime and my family was asleep. I was in my room, trying to go to sleep but I couldn't because I kept hearing strange noises. It sounded like someone was walking around in the house.
I got out of bed and went to my door to see if anyone was in the hallway. When I looked, there was a figure at the end of the hallway, just standing there looking at me. I couldn't see its face because it was shrouded in darkness. I was so scared that I ran back into my room and hid under the covers.
I don't know how long I stayed there but eventually, I fell asleep. In the morning, I woke up and went to tell my parents what had happened. They didn't believe me at first but then they realized that something strange had happened because all the doors in the house were locked from the inside. There was no way that anyone could have gotten into the house.
Ever since that night, I've always been afraid to leave my room at night.
